As 2012 ends, I would like to send out some love and appreciation to all of my friends and family for the wonderful year.   I am so grateful for all of you!

Koi Pond Photo Fun

Practicing lighting

Since I am trying to learn more about photography, today I spent some time working on using light and shadows to enhance my photos.  So here are a couple fun pictures I took at SeaWorld working on my technique!

  Also, just in case you haven't figured it out yet, I am kind of a sucker for anything that has to do with water and nature!

My first trip to WPPI photographer convention in Las Vegas!

I went to the convention in Las Vegas last week to learn more about how to take great photos.  It was an amazing experience and I hope to put into practice some of the new techniques I learned.  I did take a break from the workshops to stroll outside and see the crazy town. Here are a few sights from my fun experience.

More water

I was at the beach trying to get pictures of the dolphins (which didn't happen!), but  I ended up getting some nice ocean shots.  I just love the water!  Oh, and the sky was spectacular, don't you think?

Waterfalls

I wanted to practice using my camera on the tripod using a longer shutter speed.  Where else but somewhere with water!  Check out this cute little waterfall in Felicita Park.  It was a perfect spot to try something new for me!

A trip to Ramona

I took a photo safari to the far reaches of Ramona the other day, just to get another "leading line" that I have been wanting to photograph for years!  So, along the same theme, here are a couple more fun lines!
